When is Community & Giving Week?
Green Templeton’s Community & Giving Week runs from Saturday 20th June to Friday 26th June 2026
What is Community & Giving Week?
Community & Giving Week is a dedicated week to celebrate our community and raise funds for student support. Over the course of the week alumni, friends, and supporters are invited to volunteer their time, take part in college activities and make a gift to student support.
How can I get Involved?
There are lots of activities taking place across the course of the week, with opportunities for everyone to get involved and take part, including:
- Garden Party - Saturday 20th June
- GTC's Big Quiz - Monday 22nd June
- Student Presentation Feedback Session with Alumni - Tuesday 23rd June (Zoom)
- Hook- a- Duck competition - Tuesday 23rd June
- The Ultimate Biscuit Showdown - Wednesday 24th June
There will also be community games and challenges across college to help unlock additional support for students, with stories, updates, photographs, and highlights shared throughout the week on the Community & Giving Week platform.
This year, our annual Photography Competition winner will be selected through a public vote, by students, staff, and donors during Community & Giving Week. This year's theme is the the Student Experience and entries are open to all.
And, of course, we hope you will consider making a donation in support of Green Templeton's students.
What will my donation support?
A gift to student support helps ensures that talented individuals can fully participate in college and academic life, regardless of their financial circumstances. This support can ease the pressure of childcare for a student parent, fund conference places, enable pursuance of sports or recreational activities, or support a scholar to undertake research that changes lives. However you choose to give, your participation plays a vital role in supporting the Green Templeton community.
Is there match funding available?
During Community & Giving Week, we have matched funding and challenge pots available to help maximise the impact of your gift. This means that, at key moments, donations may be matched or unlock additional funding, effectively increasing the value of your contribution at no extra cost to you. Match funding and challenge pots are limited and applied according to set criteria, so we encourage you to give early to ensure your donation can benefit. If you would like more information about how these opportunities work, please contact the Development office.
What is the donor wall?
The donor wall is a space on this platform where we recognise and thank those who have supported Community & Giving Week. With your permission, your name and gift may appear here to celebrate your contribution and inspire others to get involved. If you would prefer to remain anonymous, you can choose this option when making your donation.

- By mail: Send us a cheque to the Development Office, Green Templeton College, 43 Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6HG

Any gifts made during Community & Giving Week via the college giving page will still count towards the campaign, and we will add your donation to the Community & Giving Week platform on your behalf as soon as possible.
I’ve made a gift. What else can I do to get involved?
First of all - thank you! Our work wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of supporters like you. One of the best ways to maximise your support is by connecting with your friends and inspiring them to get involved too. For example, you can share our Community & Giving Week posts on your social media so our message reaches more people.
